MTWFA 2022 Annual Conference will be REMOTE

Please join us for the 2022 MTWFA Annual  Conference. The conference will be held on January 11-12, 2022 via Zoom.

In response to COVID-19 and in an effort to keep our attendees and communities safe, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person version of the 2022 MTWFA Conference. This difficult decision was made considering the challenges of hosting a safe, in-person event balanced with the risk of compromising the important work that we do for Massachusetts municipalities.

Please see our Annual Conference Page for details and to register. Registration will close on January 7, 2022, at 5pm.

US Department of Labor initiative seeks to reduce deaths, injuries, protect workers in New England’s tree, landscaping operations

There have been 31 worker deaths in the tree trimming and removal, landscaping and site preparation industries since 2016 that the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration New England region has investigated. To reduce the risks workers in these industries face, OSHA’s Boston regional office has established a Regional Emphasis Program that combines enforcement and outreach with employers. If you are contracting tree companies in your municipality, please ensure they are working safely!
