Join us for a one-hour panel discussion on urban forestry master plans. Hear from three cities at different stages of the game in an video interview format (so no lengthy presentations!).

Panelists:
2015 Cleveland Tree Plan: Jenita McGowan, Chief of Sustainability, City of Cleveland (OH)
2016 Largo Urban Forest Master Plan: Phil Christman, Assistant Parks Superintendent, City of Largo (FL)
2012 Pittsburgh Urban Forest Master Plan: Danielle Crumrine, Executive Director, Tree Pittsburgh (PA)
Moderator: Rachel Comte, Project Manager, Davey Resource Group

This panel will focus on answering the questions we hear from many communities exploring ways to boost their urban forestry programs through a master plan. Topics will include how each community got started, how the plan was funded, what they wanted out of it and what they actually got out of it (not always the same thing), more about the process of putting a plan together, what surprises they ran into along the way, and an update of how they are using it today and what progress they’ve made.

Moderated in a comparative video interview format, each panelist will be asked the same questions, allowing the audience to better identify trends and differences across each community, and ultimately clarifying solid options for implementing a master plan in their own community.

If you are looking to take your community’s urban forestry program to the next level, or are already contemplating a master plan, this is one panel you shouldn’t miss. Join us!

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
