The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) is offering the first in a series of quarterly webinars on May 18, to provide education about spotted lanternfly (SLF) and updates on control efforts. Each webinar session will be good for one free CEU credit. Register at http://bit.ly/MDARSLFMay21 Spotted lanternfly is an invasive insect of great concern in the northeast. A sapsucker with over 70 host plants, it has caused great damage in other states. Though not established yet in Massachusetts, it is vital that people know what the insect looks like and how to report it. Additional sessions will be offered on 8/17/21, 11/16/21, and 2/15/22.
