UMass Summer Pre-College Program Scholarships

Tuition assistance is now available for selected Massachusetts high school students to attend the 2017 UMass Amherst Summer Pre-College Program in Sustainable Tree Care. Designed to introduce current high school students to the college curriculum and a potential career in this satisfying field, the one-week program in Sustainable Tree Care is led by Dr. Brian Kane, UMass Professor of Arboriculture and Urban Forestry. Scholarships are being offered by both the Massachusetts Tree Wardens’ and Foresters’ Association (MTWFA) and the Southeastern Mass. Tree Wardens’ and Arborists’ Association (SEMTWAA).  Fill out the application form to be eligible for either scholarship, and submit it before May 1, 2017.  (Scholarship applicants should also apply for acceptance to the program itself.)
